About
Arise and Shine is a non-profit organization working in Mbrizi village in Central Uganda, whose main goal is to improve the livelihoods of the community through education, community life, and productive economy.
What makes Arise and Shine unique and different from other organizations, is the fact that the desire for change was born in the locals' minds, looking for a better life and beleiving that in order to make change in their lives, they need to do the first step themselves.
Our Projects
Between 2004-2012, several projects have been carried out in Mbrizi village. These projects are the beginning of the process for a significant change, towards creating an empowered community. Moreover, these projects started turning the vision into reality, and until today are functioning as the people's source for motivation and cooperation.
